A Year in Portland

So, at least once a week I will be posting some of the weird, wonderful and frustrating things I've discovered during my short time living in Portland, OR.  We've been very happy thus far but there are a few things one must adjust to, particularly after having spent the last 10 years (4 years for The Brit) in Phoenix, AZ.  Just a few to the topics I plan on blabbing endlessly about are:  the reverse snobbery the west side receives from the east side, how much I love the endless greenery but am loathe to weed the garden and the convoluted recycling program.  Hopefully, these posts will provide a little insight into a Pacific-Northwest transplant's world.
